wow, has it already been a month since we went on this trip!
on thanksgiving day we met up with our good friends mel and brandon to leave for new orleans. we spent 2 days in NO and then boarded a ship for a week to the western caribbean! so much fun! here's some of the fun stuff we did...

we're HERE!! overlooking the mississippi river

jackson square (or alexander square as b kept calling it:)

dinner on bourbon street. cam got some yummy seafood gumbo and jumbalaya.. unfortunately, pregnant ladies get the boring grilled chicken..

mel and i posing by the trolley

mississippi river. the next morning the ship ported just to the right in this picture.

while we were in LA we got to go on a swamp/plantation tour. this is the destrahan plantation.. one of the most successful sugar cane plantations west of the mississippi.

my favorite part of new orleans was this airboat tour.. amazing!

the alligators we got to hold! this one is about 1 year old

i loved this part

the ship on the right is the one we took 2 years ago, this time we upgraded to the voyager of the seas.. such a big, beautiful ship.

the ship had a cute christmas tree

taking pics on the deck

dinners.. yeah, we ate a lot

had a blast with these guys

first stop was cozumel mexico.. we toured the tulum mayan ruins. these are amazing.

the temple

this was one of the only nice days.. we had lots of clouds.. so we didn't do much sunbathing :(
the ruins were right on the beach
next stop jamaica

we did this grotto cave tour. pretty amazing. below are some bats hanging out

while in jamaica we hiked the dunns river falls. very fun!

getting ready to go! they start on the beach and you hike all the way up.

we loved it.

kinda scary being preggers, but luckily we didn't have any falls!
but saying we missed this boy is an understatement. of course, he did so well and had so much fun with both grandmas.. but we couldn't wait to get home and kiss those chubby cheeks! sorry we ditched you, wyatt, but we had to :)
