.happy cinco de mayo.

well, he's here. crew cameron owens. it was a crazy night and i'll write the story later. but let's just say i had my first contraction at 5pm and crew made he's grand entrance at 9:34pm, must have been the full moon! good thing we decided to head to the hospital when we did, or he may have been born in the accord :) right now, we're all adjusting to a new baby in the house and are loving every crazy minute of it!

it's been a busy month and we've had lots of fun things going on. easter was fun.. even though we had to miss church :( wyatt was pretty fun to watch during the egg hunts, this kid can shovel in candy.. good thing we've gotten through all the candy. he got pretty spoiled.

wyatt has caught on to saying "cheese" now he'll pose and give us this cheeseball smile, gotta love it

wyatt has been very interested in copying everything we do.. especially helping dad outside and "cleaning" up after himself after he eats.. he uses baby wipes to clean everything.. maybe he got his daddy's minor OCD tendancies for cleaning, cause he certainly didn't get it from me.

friday march 23rd, 2012 was an epic day.. cameron turned 30.. unfortunately, i'm a crappy wife and we didn't anything super special, but cameron was able to get off work early to come to the zoo with us. it was windy, but otherwise a pleasant day. wyatt really loved the birds and the big ball at the entrance, go figure. we were glad to spend some time together. that night, wyatt went to grandmas while we went to tucanos and then to see the hunger games. (for me, the movie was not that good, at all?? why all the raving reviews?) anyway, sorry babe, i kinda suck.. with the combo of being almost 8 months pregnant and having just spent a pretty penny in hawaii, the big birthday plans kinda got put on the back burner. i suck.

lately, around here things are pretty chill. the weather is getting nicer by the week and we're able to get out more and explore the world. it's weird thinking that just last spring/summer, wyatt was too little to really appreciate "outside," so it's really fun to watch him run around on the grass and stare at the birds. because we've been "stuck" inside so many months, we often pull out the camera and make funny faces.. wyatt is really fun right now. it's crazy the explosion of personality that hits after their 1st birthday. he definatly has opinions now, which is so new to me. i can't complain at all, because he's still the most easy going baby... i mean, toddler, i know. he loves his sleep and still needs 2 naps. funniest thing is that he actually comes to get me to put him in his crib to sleep... such a werid boy. but it certainly makes my life so much easier.

i'm starting to freak out a little considering our new little baby boy will be here in less than 8 weeks! i don't think we can be totally ready, so we'll just take it a day at a time. the bassinet is out, the carseat cleaned, and the newborn outfits put away. but that in NO WAY means we're ready. i am kinda wanting to know if there's anything that the been-there-done-that mommas know that might make this transition from 1-2 kiddos a little less traumatic for all of us. i'm keeping my mind open and know that the dishes, laundry, and clutter might not be cleaned everyday. i'm just hoping to survive. good news is, at least i'll get to take my maternity leave during most the summer so we can pick up and go play. i'm looking forward to a new little baby, don't get me wrong. i'm hoping to sit back and enjoy this one a little more... with wyatt, i was just a mess about schedules and routines... but i think with #2 you just HAVE to be more flexible, right? any advice is much appreciated.

so in my previous post i wrote about my valentine's gift... well i'm really spoiled. so cameron has been working on this gift for over a year and finally got it all put together (and saved up the $) to give it to me. first of all, i had NO IDEA what pandora was until now. i know, i'm not up with the trends.. and how does he know about them anyway?? i'll never know. but he picked out this amazing bracelet and all the charms that have such sentimental value to both of us. now, not only did he give me this bracelet, but he made a shutterfly book with pictures describing each charm and how it resembled some aspect of our lives. i just could die... anyway, here are the charms.

this is the may birthstone charm. i have 4 birthstone charms.. one for each of us.. cameron, me, wyatt, and the new babe coming in may. this stone resembles our first valentines together before he left on his mission where he gave me a gold rose


this is for our adorable dog belle.. who filled our childless void for several years.

this resembles not just having our children, but the journey it took to get wyatt.. well worth it.

this is for all the amazing trips we've taken together, brazil, puerto rico, new orleans, belize, honduras, cozumel, venezuela, grenada, hawaii, florida, and many more.. and many more to come, hopefully.

this is for our house and how we never thought we'd be there so long, but we've fallen in love with it, and the neighborhood. it certainly keeps us (ok mostly cameron) busy, but we feel so great when we look back at how great it looks. hopefully the basement will be finished soon after the baby arrives in may :)

this symbolizes the many scuba dives we've been on... and especially the one where the cute little starfish lost it's life because of us.. oops. and that's a real 14K gold starfish.

cameron says this one represents how lucky he is to be my husband.. all together now, Awww.

this is for my graduation from the U and from nursing school.

and finally, this resembles my passion for my job. i love being a nurse.

i just wanted to thank cameron so much for being such a stellar husband. he is the perfect combo of manly, carefree, organized, sweet, and hardworking. it seems that where-ever i fall short in life, he's there to pick up my pieces. he completes me. my love for him has just exploded seeing him as a father. he is so attentive to wyatt and gets just as excited, if not more so, than i do when wyatt learns something new or does an adorable trick. i hope he know just how impressed i am with him every day, even if it's not said. thanks honey, for everything. the bracelet really is such incredible proof to how lucky i am to be your wife. olive juice.

by the way, i did get cameron a we-wood watch for valentines... seems minute compared to my gift, but i think he liked it :)

this was the sweetest bird EVER. it was in the lobby of the hilton hotel. her name was butterscotch. cameron and i wanted to sneak her into our luggage and bring her home for wyatt
